Legendary Dairy Cow Buried on Campus
In 1932, Noble's Golden Marguerite, a dairy cow, was buried on NDSU in front of the Dairy Building, which was later renamed the Geosciences Building. In 1921, she produced 977.7 pounds of butterfat, which set a record for dairy cows of any breed in North Dakota and led to her honorable resting place right on the campus of North Dakota State University.
